The Brief

In this project, I worked with the client to visualize his product idea. His initial ask was for me to design an UI for a 320x280 touch-screen phone, with a parent-controlled address book.

Initial Definitions

In our second meeting, I presented a sitemap that captured his requirements for the kids interface and also an "expansion pack" - a scope for the parent-facing interface.

The Concept

Kid's Interface

My idea was to gamify the experience for kids - they can add their friends to the contact list but will only have a fixed amount of calling time per friend per week. This way, while parents still have the control they need, kids can learn to manage time better.

The continuation

Parents Interface

And here are the parents side of the story - including the onboarding, managing multiple-kids and editing rules.
